What is a mixer you say?

A mixer is designed to get interested applicants, new members, and seasoned members all in the same place at the same time to meet and interact. Too often, Interro is divided between those who play payload and those who play 2fort (and then all of our arena/prophunt players). Interested applicants often gravitate towards one server or the other which makes them relatively unknown to the other half of the team and can stall their applications. Let's break down the barriers and get to know each other!

So get out of the sewer, stop riding the cart, stop trying to run full team scout rushes, stop disguising as an obvious traffic cone, and come join us on some common ground. We will be playing TC_HYDRO!!!

Interested applicants are strongly encouraged to attend. We want to vote for you, we just don't know you yet!

The password will be interrodance.

Changes since last time:

-Server 5 will be converted to a 32 player server.
-Server 8 will still serve as overflow.
-The server will be passworded to prevent stray pubber confusion. (Password = interrodance)
-We'll try to find some way to mediate voice chat so that everybody who wants to talk or ask a question is able to. Perhaps we'll have interested applicants introduce themselves?

At that time on the 4th, I'll be getting weighed and tested for physical fitness and such at my local fire-station, considering my volunteering as an Emergency Medical Services... guy.

If the Mixer lasts a few hours, I should be okay, but I might not be there to start.

I'll try to be there, no guarantees.

As the 3rd is my birthday, I propose we turn this into an impromptu day-after birthday party. This is clearly the most logical option, and I will take personal offense if this idea is criticized in any way, shape or form. :|

But seriously, I'll probably be there.

I think if you're attending because of the map, you're missing the point of the event. If I'm done prepping for the Klondike Derby, I'll be there.

An update. The physical stuff will last for a few hours at least, starting at 4 pm PST. I don't know when I'll be done, because I've never done it before, and I don't know what it entails. I'll to make it to the Mixer if I can, but I'm most definitely a

Steam's scheduled for maintenance from 9PM EST until done. Part of this includes Steam Community going down which I believe will stop event announcements, and possibly the friends list. This may not be a big problem considering the event will have already started, but just a point of information.
