I'm seriously considering doing a reinstall (and/or upgrade) of my system, depending on how my performance-boost project goes.

Use 7zip to replace winrar. As an added plus, 7z files send Arcanus into a rage.

I use 7zip over winrar as well.

Dang, that's gonna take a long time to redo your system...

Revo uninstaller is freaking awesome.
I use WinRar, but a cracked enterprise version so I don't get the stupid warning everytime I open it up.

Miranda IM is also the best for me because it's small, the buddy list takes up very little screen space, and it doesn't auto-switch programs whenever I get a new IM.
