1. Review and understand the server rules


2. Be a mature team player who exercises responsibility. Team Interrobang has a recommended minimum age of 17 and an absolute minimum of 16. Team Fortress 2 is rated M and while hatespeech and excessive vulgarity are violations of Team Interrobang's server rules discussions involving adult themes are not. Additionally, in our experience, members under 17 don't often receive sufficient community respect to implement our server rules. This is not a indictment of younger players, merely a decision informed by previous experience on the success of younger members in maintaining a server experience. During the application process negative votes based on the applicant's maturity are welcome; those based strictly on age are not.


3. Own and be able use a microphone. While you need not talk all the time, team members sometimes need to enforce order on a server, this is best done over voice chat.


4. Accumulate at least 24 hours of play time over at least 30 days in total on Team Interrobang servers while demonstrating courtesy and promoting sporting conduct. Additionally, you must have at least one month of calendar time on our servers before you may apply.


5. Join our Steam Group


6. Register on the forums and create a post in the Recruitment Forum that includes the following:
   
   
   • A link to yourself on our HLStatsX page - To do this go to our HLStatsX player page and find yourself. Click on your name and paste the URL from your browser's address bar into the post.
   
   
   • Age - Applicants must be at least 16 years of age.
   
   
   • (Optional but recommended) A copy of your activity chart from HLStatsX. To add one, go to your hlstatsx page, right click on the graph that shows your play activity, select "copy image location" or "copy image source" as per your browser. Paste that link into your app, select the link text and click the "IMG" button in the Boardcode toolbar.
   
   
   • Which of our servers you usually play on - You can either refer to it by # or map type. If you're unsure you can check your history in Steam or consult the Game Monitor info on the right side of the main page
   
   
   • When you play (evenings, mornings, weekends, it makes it easier for interested members to find you)
   
   
   • Why you want to join Team Interrobang
   
   Note: Recruitment posts are reviewed by a moderator for content before being posted, if your post doesn't appear immediately, it's being reviewed. If there's a problem, you'll be PMed with the content of app and an explanation of what's wrong. You're welcome to repost when fixed.


7. Receive net approval (+1s over -1s) of +20 votes from team members (Junior, Full, and Senior Admins) over a minimum two-week period. An application may be suspended to investigate a violation of application, server or team rules.
   
   An application not completed in 28 days will be retired and the applicant may apply again.
   
   Team members may change their votes while the app is still active but only the most recent vote will be considered.
   
   Only forum posts on an applicant's thread that explicitly include "+1" or "-1" will be counted as votes. Members are also encouraged to include a justification for their statement. Posts that do not include a clear statement of approval or disapproval are considered feedback and will not be counted.
   
   The net approvals required (approvals over disapprovals) will be reviewed once a month by the admin corps in consultation with the membership of Team Interrobang.
