Doctor

  1. This is what happens when Doctor is a DM.

So, howdy. I play D&D. Surprise surprise, right?

Well, I'm in two campaigns, one of which I'm the DM for.

In the campaign I'm running, I've had need to create a very powerful and very present bad guy who can hound the party for some time.

To that end, they ran into Arcanon Ka, a level 3 Wizard/3 Cleric/14 True Necromancer, who ended up killing off a character he had a lot of backstory with.

Let's start at the beginning. Some of Arcanon Ka's ...

  2. The Demon Wars Saga: The Bittersweet Ending That Could Have Been

So, let me start off by saying I enjoy what I've read by R. A. Salvatore. Mostly.

He penned the Drizzt Do'Urden sagas, one of the most famous and well-known characters to spring from the Forgotten Realms D&D campaign setting. While his telling of the tale was masterful, he did unleash another "dark, broody, misunderstood champion of justice" into the world.

  4. Neverwinter Nights: Daylen's Start (Part 4)

    (Continued)

But as he turned sharp corner and peered into the shadows, he saw exactly what he'd dreaded. There was a corpse lying on the ground, with holes burned into her skin from violent spells cast upon her by the invading mages. Daylen felt himself detach from his emotions, and he dragged the body from the darkness, and examined the wounds left on Silk's body. There were multiple burns, and several deep lacerations. He was no expert of combat, but it looked like ...

  5. Neverwinter Nights: Daylen's Start (Part 3)

    (Continued)

A smile on his face, Daylen let them wonder as he slipped out of the room and traveled down the hall, towards the Great Hall. There was a guard outside the door, and he motioned towards Daylen. "Hurry, boy, Lady Aribeth herself is here to graduate you." Daylen wasted no more time and hurried through the door.

On the other side of the door was a large room, where there were nearly a dozen students scattered about, and an elven woman ...
